Homecoming was a big night for more than just StuCo who made the night a reality. “All our student council planning, setup, and follow through were all really good things, “ Cassidy Taladay, StuCo president and a senior at LHS said. “I think this year everyone put their best foot forward and worked really hard.” The theme of this year’s Homecoming was “Up in the Clouds.” Homecoming took place on Friday, September 26th in South Gym. 2015 Homecoming Royalty: This year’s Homecoming King and Queen were Frank Cuddy and Victoria McConnell. Prince and Princess of Homecoming were Wesley Dawkins and Mackenzie Healey. Duke and Duchess were Joe Carter and Maya Gardner. Lord and Lady were Rene Martinez and Sarah Smith.

It was also huge for the Homecoming royal party too, especially Victoria McConnell. Mc- Connell didn’t want to win homecoming queen for just herself. “Honestly, I just wanted to show people that anyone can win,” Victoria McConnell, homecoming queen and senior at LHS said. There was also the 2015 Spirit Week that started on the Monday of Homecoming. Many Links showed their LHS pride by dressing up with the theme of each day. The theme of Monday was Character day. Tuesday’s theme was Twin Day. Then, Wednesday was Wacky Day. Thursday’s theme was Teacher-Student Swap Day, a new Spirit Day theme. On Teacher- Student Swap Day students dressed like teachers, while teachers wore their version of student clothing. The last spirit day was Friday, which the theme was Link Pride. Finally, the Athletic Hall of Fame Assembly and Spirit Rally took place after fourth period on Friday. “Thank you to everyone who came and made the event a success. We can’t do it without people wanting to go.” Niki Barnes, English department and Student Council sponsor said. This year’s homecoming and Spirit Week were both a huge success.
