The Career Academy is for junior and senior LPS students who can explore a possible career interest along with earning dual credit towards 2-year and 4-year degrees. Students can also leave the Career Academy right after graduating high school and have more employment options right after graduation in the career they studied. They offer Zoo School and the Arts & Humanities Focus Program and most of the Information Technology Focus Program goes over to TCA (The Career Academy) as three pathways which include: networking, programming, and database. Entrepreneurship Focus Program is replaced by the Entrepreneurship Pathway at TCA. Students who attend TCA can accumulate anywhere from 15 to 40+ SCC quarter credits by the time the students finish. Construction of TCA is believed to be done constructed in late July of 2015 and hopes to open August 12th, 2015. It will be located on the SCC campus in Lincoln at 8800 O Street.
