Snapshot of enrollment shows return to modest growth
Lincoln Public Schools released their enrollment as of October 1 for the 2021–22 school year. Despite the ongoing pandemic, there was an increase of 204 students for a total of 41,766 students at Lincoln Public Schools.
“We are pleased to see the October 1 snapshot represent a return to modest growth for LPS,” said Associate Superintendent for Instruction Matt Larson. “Last year’s decline in enrollment appears to be an anomaly because of the pandemic and not a trend.”
Prior to the pandemic, LPS added an average 250 students each year since 2017.
